CCU-Tailor

Software for designing and optimising CO₂ capture and conversion processes tailored to existing industrial plants. 

The CCU-Tailor software will play a key role in helping industries, particularly the chemical and manufacturing sectors, achieve decarbonisation targets by designing and optimising Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) technologies, ensuring both environmental and financial goals are met.

Matilde Viegas will contribute with a poster titled 'CO2 to DMC: modelling of a CCU process from source to product', detailing one of the CCU processes modelled, the conversion of carbon dioxide to dimethyl carbonate (DMC).

22nd International Conference on Carbon Dioxide Utilization (ICCDU 2025)

Matilde Viegas will contribute with an oral presentation titled 'Industrial CCU Technologies towards a quantitative assessment' (O124), which is a work in collaboration between the CCU-Tailor and the Symbiosis projects; as well as a poster titled 'Towards Tailoring Carbon Capture and Utilization: scoping of commercially available technologies for modelling' (P53), focusing on the initial survey of CCU technologies. Daniel Sousa will contribute with a poster titled 'CCU-Tailor: A software for tailored design and optimisation of CCU solutions' (P59), which will showcase and promote the CCU-Tailor project
